Julia Hoffman, PsyD Bio:

Julia Hoffman
Dr. Julia Hoffman (PsyD) is VP of Behavioral Health Strategy at Livongo, a company empowering people with chronic conditions to live better and healthier lives. She was previously National Director of Mobile Health at the US Department of Veterans Affairs and a Faculty Affiliate at the National Center for Telehealth & Technology, a Defense Center of Excellence. She is a licensed clinical psychologist (CA) who attended Stanford University, completed a Psy.D. in clinical psychology at the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium, and a fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Hoffman has led the creation, evaluation, and broad international dissemination of numerous technology-based behavioral health tools. She founded and scaled mobile development for behavioral health at both DoD and VA and has been honored for these efforts by President Barack Obama, the US House of Representatives, the FCC, the American Telemedicine Association, and the American Psychological Association.

April Bettencourt Bio:
April Bettencourt
April Bettencourt is the Sr. Director of Global Employee Benefits at VSP Global. April oversees benefits and payroll administration for VSP’s 5,000 US and 1,200 Non-US employees. In 2019, VSP acquired Visionworks. Visionworks operates 711 optical retail stores in 40 states throughout the US with 7,800 US employees. Joining VSP in 2001, April is responsible for strategic benefits initiatives, such as the move to consumer driven health care plans, a robust wellness program (both physical and financial), and worker’s compensation and disability program improvements. The positive financial impacts from these initiatives have enabled VSP to continue to offer a no cost medical plan for employees and provide up to a 10% Profit Sharing employer contribution in VSP’s 401(k) Plan.
April’s 30+ year career in Human Resources (with an emphasis on Benefits Administration) began in 1983 (before FMLA or COBRA!). April has worked for both public and private companies, participating in an IPO offering with an ESOP. April has vast experience in the merger and acquisition space, having worked in the savings & loan and banking industry back in the 1980’s as well as being on the acquisition team at VSP Global, during various mergers.
April is a die-hard San Francisco Giants fan! As a kid, she got to see Willie Mays play at Candlestick! Also loves to sing, especially at weddings!
Riley Zahm Bio:
Riley Zahm
Riley Zahm is a business analyst and Livongo Member based in Meridian, Idaho.
His employer offered him a “lifeline” with Livongo for Weight Management, which empowered Riley with nonjudgmental nutritional coaching benefits that helped him effectively restructure, monitor and manage his habits. As a result of his participation in the weight management program, Riley was able to lose 52% of his body weight and 80% of his body fat, returning his blood pressure and resting heart weight to healthy levels.
Today, Riley lives an “all in” healthy lifestyle, and enjoys camping, fishing, cycling, hiking, and spending time with his partner.
